Method is what makes a practice institutional.
The Firm's standard is set by the way a file is handled rather than by anything claimed about it. What follows describes that working method.
An engagement opens with reading. Documents, correspondence and the surrounding commercial arrangement are examined before a position is formed, and the resulting assessment is recorded in writing — the applicable legal position, the forum, what the record will bear and what it will not.
From that assessment the strategy follows: what is being sought, the routes available to reach it, and the cost and time each route carries. A client is told where the argument is strong and, with the same directness, where it is not.
Confidentiality governs the whole of the relationship. Matters, parties and documents are treated as confidential by default, and the Firm does not publish or discuss the substance of any engagement.

Strategic legal thinking
Every matter is approached as a question of position and objective before it becomes a question of procedure. What is sought, what can realistically be achieved, and at what cost, are settled first.
Rigorous preparation
A view is expressed only after the documents have been read in full. Where the record is thin, that is said plainly rather than argued past.
Commercial understanding
Legal advice is given in the context of the commercial arrangement it belongs to, so that the recommended course is one a business can actually take.
Detailed legal analysis
Assessments are written: the applicable position, the forum, the evidentiary burden and the range of outcomes, recorded so a client can weigh them without relying on memory.
Confidentiality
Parties, documents and instructions are confidential by default. Nothing about an engagement is published, referenced or discussed outside it.
Practical dispute strategy
Contested proceedings are one route among several. Negotiation, mediation and settlement are considered on their merits and recommended where they serve the client better.
Long-term legal relationships
The Firm prefers continuing engagements in which context accumulates, so that advice on a later matter is informed by the history of the earlier ones.
